As part of the recent customising and tuning show, Swiss-MOTO bike building legend Urs Erbacher and his team (Fat Attack Custom Bikes AG) tore-down, customised and re-built Victory’s market leading HAMMER S in just four days  –resulting in a show stopping drag-inspired cruiser with an Erbacher signature twist.

Since it’s US launch in 2005 the Victory Hammer set the benchmark for American performance cruisers, it was the first mass produced motorcycle to feature an ultra-fat 250-width rear tyre mounted on an 8.5-inch rim.

The six-speed overdrive transmission was also a first in production big-twin cruisers.

The 2014 Hammer Sport still features all the core milestones of the 2005 original coupled with Victory’s awesome 106 ci (1731cc) Freedom V-Twin motor, boasting 104 ft lbs of green-light torque, making it the perfect base for an Erbacher project.

Urs Erbacher is considered the most experienced and successful custom bike designer in Switzerland. He is also a three-time Dragster FIA European Champion in the Funny Car class, three times European Champion in the Top Fuel class, and one of the most successful international drag racers in Europe.

No expense has been spared to ensure that this ‘Erbacher Hammer Sport’ hits the mark in terms of looks, performance and handling.

The conversion work began by shortening and re-moulding the iconic petrol tank, removal and re-modelling of the rear subframe, followed by the creation of an all new one-piece seat and tail unit, which give the bike a short powerful stance without altering the proven stock chassis geometry.

One-off handlebars and slimline controls add to the stripped down look.

A custom headlight assembly has cleaned up the front end and new white paint has been laid over airbrush work. The tuning has been taken care of by new EU legal mufflers and custom made manifolds.

The Erbacher Hammer Sport went into auction at the close of Swiss-MOTO’s four-day live build, selling to its new owner for €30,451, but we’re pretty sure that Urs would build another if he was asked.
