Victory Motorcycles has made a massive impact on the American motorcycle sector in Europe since launching their established, proven range in 2010.
And the firm raised the stakes even further at the 2014 European Bike Week, Faaker See, in the Austrian lakes.
The Freedom 106/6 engines’ combination of sector leading American performance and engineering has won Victory Motorcycles many fans across this massively diverse and demanding market, and the news from Faak is that it’s starting to spill over into the ridden custom bike sector.
With much to celebrate – including the European preview of the stunning new Magnum, which is set to turn the Street Bagger market on its head in 2015 – Victory Motorcycles gave riders a massive thank-you with a party on the Friday night at the heart of the event, and a ride in custom show, and they came from all across Europe: any excuse for a party… and, of course to put some miles on bikes that were built to keep the trip meters spinning.
The winner of the ride-in show was a beautifully engineered Springer-forked custom, based on a 2013 8-Ball Hammer, built by Swiss-based PM American Cycles, which was selected from a wide range of bikes and styles that reflected the growing interest in the brand, and the commitment of owners to make a personal statement with their rides.
Victory Motorcycles has been quick to recognise that European riders are looking for different experiences to their home market in the US, with their steel-framed Cruiser range enjoying the same success as the Cross-Series Tourers and Baggers, that have been taking American highways by storm over the last four years, and more is to come from Victory Motorcycles with the full 2015 model range announcement at Intermot in Cologne, in early October.
Victory’s presence in the Bikers Power ‘Area 1’ village was centred around their highly successful demo tour truck – carrying their ‘Ride One and You’ll Own One’ message – which was there to give potential converts their first taste of these powerful, capable and addictive motorcycles, and on the sort of roads that will get the best from both bike and rider.
Dealers were on hand to convert beaming grins and lusty enthusiasm into orders for new bikes, as well as to showcase a growing range of parts, accessories and apparel to owners who are keen to show their passion for Victory motorcycles, and their faith in the quality of anything that bears the Victory name.
The Victory Motorcycles team would like to thank all the riders who supported them during the event. Ride Safe.
